We took the kids out to get flu shots this morning and they did so well that we went out to the mall for lunch. They are getting so big an are really going to enjoy the holiday season.

Well in my last post I wrote that Kieran’s 4th tooth was not yet through the gum. Well, I was dead wrong because it definitely is. You can see and feel it. AND… Today Kieran officially started crawling around to the point where Patty had to put the gate up that I pulled out of the closet the other day. I was out doing leaves and Kieran had crawled from Connor’s room right down the hallway to the kitchen, right near the steps. It’s going to be an interesting ride….
Yes, we are still here. Sorry we haven’t posted in a while, we’ve been bad mommy/daddy bloggers and life has gotten in the way. Along with some laziness on Brian’s part (of course).
Things have been crazy ad moving along the way life normally does. Patty, Kieran, and Connor have started the school year. We discovered that Connor has Asthma. He was on a breathing treatment every day, but it made him a little sick, so now he is on Singulair. That seems to be doing well for him. Now Connor has a fascination with Brian’s work ID badge, so we’ll be making him one of his own shortly.
Kieran is such a big boy. He is right on the cusp of officially being a crawler. We found out, through a very scary couple of days and a trip to both the ER and an allergist, that Kieran is allergic to Milk. That means no milk, cheese, yogurt, natural flavoring, etc. The list is very long. It also means that Patty can’t eat most of that stuff which makes “easy meals” kind of hard. It’s also scary to think that we need an epi-pen at hand at all times. We are working through it and there is a very good chance he will out-grow it in a few years. Plus Kieran is now working on his 4th tooth! It is just coming through the gums! He doesn’t seem to be affected by teething as much as Connor was.
I am busy at work too. I took over as Project Specialist for the pharmacy side of our department. There was a lot to learn and I am still figuring things out. I am currently working through 3 big database creations/revisions that should make some things run more efficient. Plus, I started Grad School going for my MBA. Who would have ever thought that would happen!
Anyway here are some latest pictures and videos I made because I know plenty of people have been asking for them. Enjoy!

I know it’s been a while, but pictures from Connor & Kieran’s first day of school are now up. We’re going for a weekend in the Poconos on Saturday, so we should have plenty to post when we get back. More C&K pic below:

Well Labor day weekend and we have just been enjoying time at home with the kids, even if they are not at 100% health. Kieran has his milk allergies going, which I will blog more about later, and Connor had a bad cough so we had to get him more Albuterol and give him some breathing treatments. I took the time to play around with singing songs to Connor, and where I have no shame when it comes to the boys, please keep all of your laughing to yourself. (I am a drummer and this is pretty much the reason for it).
ENJOY!
It was a crazy night. I know we need to blog more (or at least I want to…) but this is not a reason to do so! It wasn’t more than 5 minutes after Kieran was done dinner than did he break out in a rash. He was covered on his arms, belly, neck, and face. It was crazy. His eyes were all swelled up. So after a call to the dr’s answering service, a pukey baby, and a return call from the doctor, it was decided we would take him to the hospital. Connor got dropped off at a friend’s who just happened to be having pizza (could he plan it any better?) and we were on our way.
Two hours worth of waiting in the ER waiting room later, and Kieran got some steroids in him. He seemed so much better anyway so it was decided that he didn’t even need Benedryl. Now he is home, sleeping, and all in the world is good!
Nice scare. These kids always keep life exciting!
